Why Did Meta Create Threads?

You can use the existing Instagram credentials to sign in to access the Threads app. If you don’t have an Instagram account, you must create one before continuing.

Threads will automatically use your Instagram login information if you are already a user of Instagram and have your Instagram account open on the same device. 

However, if you’d prefer a different account, you can choose “Switch accounts” at the bottom of the screen. After choosing an Instagram account to sign up with on Threads, you must verify the information on your profile. 

It is vital to remember that because Threads uses your Instagram account as its username, you cannot modify it there. You must modify your Instagram username to change it on Threads.

No Edit Option

4. Find the GIFs you downloaded 
5. To start sharing GIFs, tap the “Post” button.

Considering the application is still in its early stages, you could have trouble sending GIFs to others. There is a possibility that the Threads app will crash when you are sharing GIFs, videos, or still photos; you may need to attempt several times.

Delete Account Option

You must remove your Instagram and Threads account to delete your account successfully. The main reason is that your Instagram account is linked to your Threads account, and both share the same login details. 

If you delete your Instagram account, your Threads account and all associated data will likewise be deleted, as stated in the Threads Supplemental Privacy Policy and a section accessible through the Help Centre. Because of this, if you want to continue using Threads, you should seriously consider it before removing your Instagram account.

Direct Messaging
